Day 3: Eggbertina flies... or does she?

The third day of the Academy!
In the morning we started with a little game, in which we had to memorize a text about biomimetic. After that we just continued working on our projects for the whole morning session, we made much tests with our objects and wrote posters about the abstraction of the principles we wanted to use and our prototypes we built. Than we cleaned our room, which took surprisingly short for the mess we made, because in the afternoon the TV came and filmed something of the Junior Academy. They were in our classroom and interviewed one group about the construction of their object and what they were inspired by. We went outside and tested our objects and it worked (luckily) with three groups!

The rest of the day we optimized only things and made few more tests. Every group had problems with the objects gliding forward and straight, so we learned a lot about the importance of the centre of gravity for a good flight. We all are really excited for tomorrow and hope for a good test!

The different groups with their constructions.
One possibility to save Eggbertina. Every group wants the safest touch-down for her.
Our Eggbertinas.
The first test-flights.

We try to improve our constructions to make them perfect.
